Welcome to Tytherington

Good afternoon and welcome to Tytherington for today’s Toolstation Western League fixture
against our local rivals Portishead Town FC. We wish everyone a Happy Easter and hope
you all enjoy the game and have a safe journey home this evening.

There are volunteers -------------and there are volunteers!
The volunteers who run any sports club are always extremely appreciative of another group
of volunteers who work alongside the Club Committee, giving their time in such a variety of
ways.Their names don't usually appear in minutes or reports or against "Action"points.
They don't do the jobs because it's their responsibility, they do it because of who they are,
and have seen that something needs to be done.
This is our opportunity to acknowledge that their support is noticed------and appreciated.
In no particular order----that's a well used phrase these days!
Thanks to Mark and Merv Lacey for their regular attention to the boundary trees and
bollards, and Chris Studley for his car-parking work.
Darren Wilson is always on hand when "something needs fixing"!
When it comes to pre and post match arrangements, Tom Elliot, and brothers Reuban
and Woody Williams can be found raising goal nets, banners, bins and flags, as well as
       distributing programmes.
Jo and Mark Williams, together with Elodie Whittaker and friend Izzie are often on
hand to prepare and serve refreshments before, during and after games.
Whilst on the subject of food, congratulations to Claire Smith on our South Glos 5* hygiene
rating for the Club. Post game hospitality has been masterminded by Claire, covering
players, visiting Committee members, match officials and spectators.
Will Primrose and Tom Hicks from SGS College have kept Rocks in the public eye with
their regular press and programme reports.
Family Taxi drivers and kit washers etc. are many and varied as you can see, and the Club
will always welcome additions to "The Team".
Sincere apologies to anyone not mentioned this time.
All these volunteers who do "something for nothing" will always be appreciated bu the
Committee at Tytherington Rocks F C . Thank you for everything you have done, and we do
hope you will all return for the 2022/23 season.

C'mon the Rocks The Club Committee
