A sad week for Cirencester Town ended on a happier note for the team as they recorded a
surprise 4-2 win over Bristol Rovers Development in the Gordon Perrett League Cup. Also
through are Bishop's Cleeve who defeated Stoke Lane Athletic 5-0, Saffron O'Brien and
Imogen O'Brien each scoring twice along with an own goal. Ilarna Nche and Shania Powell
netted the goals as AEK Boco Res won 2-1 against Bradley Stoke, whose consolation came
from Chloe Brown, whilst Longlevens returned from Bristol Ladies Union with a 4-2
victory thanks to Ashleigh Lloyd, Lauren Mills, Hayley Pitt and Kirsten Talbot. Cheltenham
Civil Service meanwhile edged out Red Falcon Women 2-1, Katie Ashmead and Kaydee
Wheeler scoring their goals with Tierney Harris replying.
One match was played in Division One, Cheltenham Saracens leaping up into second
place after winning 4-1 away to Abbeymead Rovers. Melissa Devereux was on target twice for
Saracens with Hannah Galpin and Leah Rhodes adding the others.
Division Three leaders Southmead Community Sport received a setback as SGS
Olveston Utd Res came from behind to beat them 2-1 with goals from Abby Shipway and Paige
Fowler. Mitcheldean SC won 2-1 away to Ashton Keynes Youth to go level on points with
Southmead, Heather Beeston and Steph Davis-Hyde scoring their goals. Tia Watts and Michaela
Dowle were on target as Ellwood Ladies defeated Winchcombe Town 2-1 to step up their
challenge and Kingswood Women were 4-0 winners at Andoversford courtesy of a Sian
Towler hat-trick and Hannah McGettigan.
Greater London League
Regents Park Rangers are working their way up the Premier Division table and are up to
fourth after goals from Natalia Debek, Jasmine Smith and Nicole Woolner gave them a 3-2
victory over UCL Academicals. There were goals aplenty at Richmond & Kew where the
home side won 7-5 against Headstone Manor, Charlotte Close scoring six times and Ruby
Davies adding the other.
In Division One North, Amber Clarke (2), Alex Milne (2), Heather McIntosh and Georgie
Goodwin accounted for the goals as Tower Hamlets defeated Luton Town Res 6-3. Enfield
Town 3rds are out of the bottom three following their 4-3 success away to Actonians Ladies
3rds with Brooke John scoring all four goals.
Tooting Bec have gone to the top of Division One South after they beat Wandsworth
Borough 3-0, thanks to a goal apiece from Sian Bradley, Olivia Griffiths and Hannah Searle.
