Luton Town Res ran out 5-0 winners over Hackney Res.
The title race in Division One South was opened up as leaders Hammersmith went
down to their first defeat of the season, 4-3 to third placed South London Women who are
now just three points off the pace. Martha Goddard scored a hat-trick and Robyn Blanchard
the other as the home side stepped up their challenge, whilst Madeleine Hill hit a hat-trick in
reply for Hammersmith. Balham Panthers head the chasing pack after the top three as
Abbi Robinson-Packham and Nicole Sheppard gave them a 2-0 win away to CB Hounslow
Utd and South London Laces were 1-0 victors over Kenningwell Utd, thanks to a
solitary goal from Rebecca Netteryd. Jade Elston, Holly Learmouth and Kathleen
Whitehouse accounted for the goals as South East Parakeets defeated Sporting Duet
3-2, Lauren Willmott and Jessica Amory replying.
       Norfolk League
Long Stratton have moved into second place in Division One after winning a high scoring
affair 8-4 against Caister Ladies. Luci Middleton led the scoring with a five-goal haul and
Samantha Walker weighed in with a brace, with Mia Wilkinson also on target. Anais Winney
(2), Olivia Leggett and Rosie Milligan were the markswomen for Sprowston Ladies as they
defeated University of East Anglia 4-3, the students' replies coming from Freya Standing
       (2) and Katie Lee.
Mulbarton Wanderers Res are the new leaders of Division Two after a late goal from
Lucy Kean gave them a 1-0 win over Aylsham Women, who were beaten for the first time
this season. Thorpe St Andrew moved themselves to within two points of the leadership
with a 5-1 success away to Freethorpe, courtesy of a goal apiece from Tabitha Mileham,
Ellen Boucher, Rosie Gunton, Natasha Frankland and Emma Clark. Gorleston also won 5-1

AFC Bentley took a giant stride towards what seems them inevitably finishing as Division
One champions when they finished 9-0 victors over Rotherham Utd Whitehill. Jenna
McGee, with four, Gemma Harte (2), Becky Kendell (2) and Jo Rice were the scorers as
Bentley registered the highest score in the division this season. It was Bentley’s eighth
successive win and extended their unbeaten start to nine games. With leaders Chesterfield
Women drawing 3-3 away to Brunsmeer Athletic, Bentley are now just one point off top
spot, but with four games in hand. It was very much a case of points dropped by Chesterfield
who were 2-0 ahead at one stage thanks to goals by Chloe Foster and Maddie Watkinson.
However, Brunsmeer hit back to overturn matters and it required a second goal by Foster to
earn the point which stretched Chesterfield’s unbeaten run to nine games. In contrast to the
games involving the top duo, the division’s only other game produced just one goal and that
came in the closing stages as Socrates won away to Kiveton Park. Amber Wilson was the
scorer as Socrates recorded their first away victory and also first clean sheet of the season.
The Division Two title race continues to be exciting with three teams currently on 24
points, while Mosborough occupy fourth spot five points behind, but having played fewer
games. Mosborough lost ground as they were edged out by the odd goal in five away to fellow
contenders Penistone Church. Keeley Green (2) and Jessica Barrow scored for Penistone,
while Leah Kerr got both for Mosborough. Leaders Handsworth Development ran out
10-1 winners over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic for the biggest win in the division this
season. Maheen Ahmed was top individual scorer with six while Mya Carnall (2), Emily
