SHIREHAMPTON F.C. - PLAYER PROFILES
Grant Mathieson
Most injury prone person at the club. Signed last summer and missed the whole
season, returned in pre-season this summer, and then got injured again on our last
game. Quick energetic winger who if we can keep fit will be a real asset.
Charlie Pollinger
Missed the whole pre-season because he didn’t know how to do his shoe laces up and
tripped over causing some serious facial injuries! A good young player who needs to
get game time and push on this year. His forehead gets bigger and bigger by the week
and his long fringe can’t hide his receding hairline much longer.
Otto Schwarz
Our Aussie ball loving centre midfielder turned up to train with manor farm when we
were playing a friendly and still thinks he’s playing for them. Hopefully he doesn’t
realise too soon as he has settled well and can play with the ball in our midfield.
Steve Fitzpatrick
Great lad, holds the midfield together well. Hairlines fading and waist is getting bigger,
but he’s got at least another season left in the legs yet.
Joseph Cox
Another good lad who likes to pass the football. Has shone in midfield since being
deployed in a deeper role. Used to be an attacking midfielder who never scored and
assisted. Like young Charlie his hairline is dramatically fading and he’s gonna have to
let it go soon
Blake Langdon
Joined us late into the pre-season. Energetic midfielder who likes to get on the ball.
Looking to force his way into the team.
Ryan Radford
‘Used’ to be teacher’s pet but after cheating on our manager with a bird from Belfast
he’s gone down the pecking order. Great player and last year’s player of the season
who scores and creates lots of goals.
Scott Bamford
Club legend and main man in the team. Has a chin the size of a hammer. Works
tirelessly for the team and is relentless in front of goal. We are lucky to have his loyalty
at Shire.
Louis Snailham
Baby Bam has he is now known, has similar attributes to Bamford and has an eye for
goal. Need to keep working hard and taking his chances when they present themselves
to him. Expecting big things from him this season.
Ryan Sharpe
New signing from Tytherington Rocks. Adds something different to what we already
had in the team. A physical forward with an eye for goal and a lovely left foot. Another
lad we are expecting big things from this season.
