ran out 12-1 winners over Ashton Keynes Youth. Jordan Scowen was on target five times and

There was a much reduced programme in the league on Sunday due to County Cup ties taking
precedence. Handsworth Development returned to top spot in Division Two thanks to a 9-0
victory over second bottom Dronfield Town Res. Both Maheen Ahmed and Emily Clayton
netted four times for Handsworth - with both players also featuring for the club’s girls teams in
the League on a Saturday this season and so continuing Handsworth’s proud record of bringing
players through the ranks. Beth Tonner was the other home scorer. In the division’s only other
game, Sheffield Utd Community Development were 6-3 winners away to Sheffield City
whose defeat leaves them still seeking a first point after seven games. Victoria Egege bagged a
hat-trick for United with Channy Rymer (2) and Ellie Priestley also on target.
Honours finished even in Division Three where second placed AFC Norton Woodseats,
who went into the game with a 100% record from four games, drew 2-2 at home to Dearne &
District who were seeking a fourth successive victory themselves after losing 2-0 when the teams
met earlier in the season. Courtney Clarke and Leah Kerr were on target for Norton, who conceded
their first goals in the league, with Claire Unsworth netting both for Dearne. Having recently
gained their first point since joining the League back in 2020, Kiveton Park Res followed their
3-3 draw against Charnock Ridgeway with a 1-1 draw in the return. Both goals came in the
second half with Tiff Clarke levelling for Kiveton after Georgia Skitt had opened.
