There were just two other games played, both in Division Three where leaders Staveley
Miners Welfare extended their 100% start to four games, winning 7-0 at home to Eckington
Belles thanks to a four-goal haul from Carly Rowlands plus Christy Long, Sophie Ruck and Anya
Taylor. Staveley are six points clear of a quintet of teams on six points with second placed AFC
Norton Woodseats the only other team in the division yet to suffer defeat. Sophie Norris gave
Dearne & District the lead just before half time of their visit to Charnock Ridgeway, Megan
Govier and Mollie Kantecki extnded the advantage before a late consolation from Kerry Clifford.
Somerset League
League leaders Bishop's Lydeard Res bounced back from defeat seven days earlier to beat
Paulton Rovers Res 2-1 and keep hold of their lead of three points. Natasha Lovell and Jaye
Howlett scored the goals for Lydeard, with Darcy Baber replying. Pen Mill stay on their heels
after a goal each from Sarah Davis-Bates, Megan Gratton, Charlotte Harmer, Letisha Templer
and Lois Roadnight gave them a 5-1 victory over Wells City. Harriet Kelly, Georgia Mann and
Rhiannon Pyne all scored for Ilminster Town Res in their 3-1 win at Bath City, whose reply
came from Annie Hervey, and this result takes them up to third. Second half goals from Julie
Netherway and Jess Regan earned Wellington a 2-2 draw away to Woodspring Women,
after the home side had taken a two-goal lead during the first half.
Burnham Utd remain one point ahead in Division Two North after a Caitlin Stevens
hat-trick, Mollie Harvey (2), Carra Marie Seeley (2), Kelly Slocombe (2), Evie Clements, Amy
Slocombe, Vanessa Brill, Sarah Coggins and Harriet Rogers all scored in their win against
Woodspring Women Res. Highridge Utd got back to winning ways with a 4-0 success at
Cheddar, Louise Robbins netting twice along with Stevie-Jay Froom and Carmela Mancinetti.
Jessie Hughes (2), Marie Frost, Amy Jones, Emily Moreton and Steff Rix ensured that third
placed Berrow defeated Porlock 6-1 and Hutton were 6-3 winners over Paulton Rovers
Development, Josie Cherton hitting a hat-trick for the second successive week along with
Hannah Windsor (2) and Kelly Edwards. Jasmine Ford, Jessica Rowe and Mia Vickery all scored
for Paulton.
Combe St Nicholas ascended to the top of Division One South with a 4-0 victory over
Middlezoy Rovers Res, courtesy of a goal apiece from Poppy Hill, Rosie Manning, Lily
Wheeler and Sadie Cox. Despite beating Bridport Youth Ladies 2-1, Wellington Wildcats
are back in second place on goal difference, Charlotte Ayers and Emily Ayers scoring their goals.
Rhea Crandon, Alice Packer and Ewelina Tkaczyk were on the scoresheet as Sydenham
Rangers Blue defeated Wincanton Town 3-0 to go up to third, whilst Ashleigh McLaren
netted both goals for Crewkerne Rangers in their 2-2 draw against Pen Mill Res, for whom
Wiktoria Pawlowska bagged a brace.
South East League
Dartford Development won the top of the table clash 3-1 against XL Football Club,
courtesy of a Georgia Culpritt brace and Emily Woodhouse. The Darts head the table by three
points with Glebe Ladies now in second after beating Aylesford Res 5-1, Ellie Beere scoring
four times and Laura Donnelly the other. Sian
