In Town today



       •   Hendon’s longest serving manager was Gary McCann, who was in charge from February 2005 until
          May 2018. Both his assistant Freddie Hyatt – like McCann a former player – the club’s physical
          therapist Mark Findley also gave more than 10 years of service.
       •   Betty-Leigh Allinson, manager Lee’s eight-year-old daughter, spent spring 2020 doing a one-mile
          cycle ride for 100 days to raise funds for a local charity. The FA learned of her sterling efforts and
          awarded her the England Lionhearts No.5 shirt.
       •   In 2022, Hendon set up a Former Players Group and all nine surviving players from the 1972 FA
          Amateur Cup victory over Enfield attended the end-of-season game against Merthyr Town.
       BACKROOM STAFF
       LEE ALLINSON: (Manager): Lee was appointed first-team manager in November 2019 following a
       successful spell at Biggleswade Town who he left having guided them into the play-off picture in the
       Southern  League  Premier  Central.  Lee  had  previously  enjoyed  playing  spells  with  the  Waders  and
       notably Boreham Wood before a spell as assistant manager at St Albans City under his father, former
       Arsenal player Ian.
       CAMERON  MAWER:  (Assistant  Manager):  Joined  the  club's  backroom  staff  in  April  2021  as
       Assistant Manager to Lee Allinson after spending 8 years at Boreham Wood as Academy manager and
       first-team coach. After beginning his playing career with Watford and having a spell at Peterborough
       United, Cam had successful stints at Grays Athletic and Weymouth in the Conference before moving on
       to Arlesey Town and Biggleswade Town.
       DAVE SANDERSON: Experienced goalkeeping coach who was appointed to the backroom team in the
       summer of 2021
       SOPHIE PYLE: Physiotherapist appointed in September 2021 having been with Codicote FC, Brings
       with  her  a  raft  of  experience  having  served  at  the  London  Marathon  and  World  Indoor  Athletics
       Championship (2018).
       PLAYING STAFF  –  PLAYERS REGISTERED FOR 2022/23 SEASON
       AZEEZ ALABI: Strong, tall defender who signed for the club in June 2022 after a successful spell with
       Bedfont  Sports.  Began  the  2021/22  season  with  Hayes  &  Yeading  United,  and  has  also  played  for
       Canvey Island, Northwood, Aylesbury and Benfleet.
       LUCA  ALLINSON:  Midfielder  who  made  the  move  from  Biggleswade  Town  in  November  2019.
       Previously seen service at St Albans City and Potton United.
       DANTE BAPTISTE: Goalkeeper who signed for a second spell on-loan from Wealdstone in October
       2022. Originally joined in November 2019 on a youth loan from Premier League Club Watford, where he
       has  impressed  in  their  age  group  sides.  Previously  with  Norwich  City.  Has  also  seen  service  with
       Farnborough before signing for the Stones in the summer of 2022.
       BOBSON BAWLING: Exciting winger who signed for the club from Haringey Borough in June 2022.
       Started  at  Watford  before  moving  to  Crawley  Town,  where  he  made  more  than  80  first-team
       appearances. After that he had spells with Woking, Torquay United, Oxford City, St Albans City and
       Enfield Town.
       LIAM BROOKS: Forward who returned to the club in September 2022 from Bedford Town. Originally
       signed in November 2019 from Biggleswade Town. Has previously seen service with Baldock Town,
       Hitchin Town, Stotfold, Codicote and Leighton Town before moving on to Berkhamsted in March 2022.
       MARCIN BRZOZOWSKI: Polish-born goalkeeper who signed for the club in June 2022 from Torquay
       United. He signed for the Seagulls after impressing on-loan from QPR, where he came through the
       ranks. Spent time on-loan last season with Hayes & Yeading United.
       ROBBIE  BUCHANAN:  Exciting  young  wide  player  who  signed  for  the  club  in  June  2022  after  a
       successful spell with Ware. Worked with manager Lee Allinson as a youngster and also impressed during
       a spell with Welwyn Garden City.
       REECE CROWTER: Young talented winger who signed for the club in the summer of 2022 from Ware.
       Previously been with Arlesey Town.
       JOSH DAWODU: Full-back signed in August 2022 following his release from Sheffield Wednesday in
       the  summer.  Came  through  the  ranks  at  Arsenal  before  his  move  to  Hillsborough  and  enjoyed  a
       successful loan spell with Stalybridge Celtic during the 2021/22 campaign.
       GURI DEMURIA: Central defender who re-signed for the club in March  2022.  Originally signed in
       August 2018 with experience at Basingstoke and Oxford City and was dual registered with Wealdstone
       where he has spent pre-season. Impressed before picking up a serious injury at Dorchester Town.
       DAVE DIEDHIOU: Cult terrace hero Dave re-signed for the club in June 2022 after four years away
       from Silver Jubilee Park at St Albans City. A defender/midfielder who originally joined in the summer of
       2008 from Middlesex County League side, Willesden Constantine. He made his debut from the subs
       bench in the away league fixture at Sutton United in August 2008 and scored the final Hendon goal at
       Claremont Road against Wealdstone in Sept 2008. Dave went on to make 382 appearances, scoring 43
       goals, in his first spell with the club before joining St Albans in the summer of 2018.
