Welcome to Longwell Green 3G Arena for tonight’s game against our
visitors Keynsham Town who make the short journey across the river.
I need to start my notes tonight with some very sad news Neale
Saunders, the Chairman of the Juniors section of the Club, sadly
passed away on the 1st of November. The evening before we had
played Bradford Town, and we scored 3 late goals to win the game.
Neale like all of us sat down after the game for a drink. At the end of
the night Neale said goodnight unknown to all of us it would be
goodbye.
Neale played a major role in getting the fantastic new 3G Arena we
have here at Longwell he was also Vice Chairman of the Centre where
he did an astounding job for the local community.
May I ask you to join us in a minute’s silence before tonight’s game.
