      The club was established on 19  November 1879 at the Phoenix hotel in
                                     th
      Gillingham.
      A successful period star ng in the mid 1960’s saw us win the Dorset league
      four  mes in five years.
      In  1970  we  moved  up  to  the  Dorset  Combina on  league.  We  finished

      bo om of the league in 1983-84, but avoided relega on.
      In 2001-02 we won the league cup bea ng Westlands sports 2-1 in the final.
      We were league runners up the following season, the first a er the league

      was renamed the Dorset Premier league.
      A er  finishing  as  runners  up  again  in  2007-08  we  were  promoted  to

      Division one of the Tool sta on Western League.
      In 2009-10 we won the Dorset senior Cup, bea ng Wimborne Town 2-1 in
      the final a er extra  me.

      A third place finish in Division one in 2011-2012 saw us promoted to the
      Premier division.

      Despite  finishing  ninth  in  the  division  in 2016-17  we  resigned from  the
      Western  league  and  dropped  back  to  the  DPL,  due  to  the  move  to
      WoodWater.

      Last season , with WoodWater now more or less to where it should be we
      gained promo on  back to division one of the tool sta on Western league.
