Nick’s Notes. The Resies

Since my last update on 22nd October
we were home against Nailsea and
Tickenham we started brightly and hit
the opposition woodwork on 2
occasions within the first 5 minutes but
on 8 minutes Cordell Young suffered a
season ending injury breaking his Tibia
and Fibia whilst making a tackle . This
lead to the game being abandoned
and a replay will take place on 23rd of
November . Cordell will be a massive
loss not just to the reserves but to the
club, always upbeat always smiling and
just an all round top bloke . We wish
him all the best and a speedy recovery
after his 4 and a half hour operation .
October 29th Ashton Backwell 4 – 0 Castle Carey
This result was very well deserved in the first half we blew the opposition away
with our quick passin and movement Thomas Smart scoring 2 incredible headers
from Sam Hemmings pinpoint crosses . Next up saw Sam Thomas forcing the
ball home from a Thomas Smart cross . Half time came and the second half was
more of the same as the first with the Stags having 3 goals disallowed which
raised a few eyebrows from the watching crowd . It was Mason Hardidge
capping off an impressive performance stooping low to head home a wonderful
curling cross from Jason Radnedge it was a great performance and to keep a
clean sheet was the icing on the cake . The only negative point was seeing Cam
Main come off with a serious looking knee injury fingers crossed that its not as
bad as it looked
Today we travel to southern league Larkhall athletic, In Bath, to play their
development team for a 3rd round Somerset senior cup. This is our third of a tie
having been successful at Westfield and now is a united in previous rounds.
