Instead, what followed was a battle off the pitch for the club’s survival in the face
of lost revenue due to extreme wet weather and then the pandemic.
2020-21 was again cut short by the coronavirus pandemic and league results
declared void. However, the season was successful for two cup runs: In the FA Cup,
Hartley reached the 4th Qualifying Round, going out at National League side
Dagenham & Redbridge FC to the only goal of the game after an excellent effort.
In the Hampshire Senior Invitational Cup, staged as Covid restrictions were eased,
Hartley reached the final and defeated Folland Sports 4-0 to lift the cup.
There was deep sadness just before the end of the season when Club President,
Bill Mitchell, passed away in April. Whilst he held the title of President, he was so
much more. A true gentleman who continued with his family's tradition of being
       Hartley Wintney through and through.
The post-Covid 2021-22 season proved a tough one, with the club’s resources
severely depleted. Survival at Step 3 presented a huge task, achieved by Anthony
Millerick and his spirited team with another good run-in to the end. Silverware
arrived by way of the Aldershot Senior Cup, the Row winning 5-2 in the final against
Fleet Town. After a lengthy and hugely successful spell as manager, ‘Millers’
stepped down at the end of the season, becoming the Club’s Director of Football,
and Ross Weatherstone and Tyrone Newton were appointed joint managers for
       2022-23.

       Marcin Brzozowski (24)
Goalkeeper who signed for Hartley Wintney in January after a spell with Hendon
earlier in the season. He began his career at QPR before gaining first team
experience as an understudy at National League sides Yeovil Town and Torquay
       United.

       Tom Leggett (27)
Former Southampton and Aston Villa academy player who went on to have spells
with three other Hampshire clubs, Basingstoke Town, Gosport Borough and
Farnborough. Primarily a full back, he has also provided cover in midfield and is
now in his second season at Hartley Wintney.

       Louie Paget (24)
Full back who began his career at Hartley Wintney and captained the youth team
in 2014/15. He moved to neighbours Farnborough in 2020 and dual registered with
Leatherhead during his time there before returning to the Row earlier this season.

       Joe Morrison (22)
Centre back who has recently joined Hartley Wintney but has already established
himself as a key player in the Row’s defence. He moved to the Memorial Ground
after spells with Bedfont Sports this season and Walton Casuals in 2021/22.
