Libby Gibbs were Thorpe's other markswomen. Lacey Andrews bagged a brace for
Shrublands Ladies in their 2-1 success away to Bulldogs Ladies, whose consolation came
       from Amber May.

AFC Bentley are Division One champions in everything bar having C or (C) along side their
name in the table. A 3-1 win over their only title rivals Chesterfield Women moved Bentley
level with their opponents on 29 points and then a 5-0 midweek victory at Middlewood
Rovers put them three points clear, with four games remaining to get the solitary point
required to be mathematically assured of the title. Chesterfield have just the one game left and
so would need to win that to have any hope at all. Unbeaten in all 12 league games to date and
having conceded just 17 goals, Bentley would need to lose their last four games by an aggregate
margin of at least 20 goals and while football can be crazy at times, that is simply not going to
happen. Gemma Harte, Jenny Knibbs and Hayley Wood were the Bentley scorers against
Chesterfield whose reply came from Madeline Watkinson. Harte then bagged a hat-trick
against Middlewood with Jenna McGee and Phoebe Sneddon also on target. Sam Hallam was
Middlewood’s scorer when they lost 2-1 at Socrates on Sunday, Becky Hargreaves with both
for the hosts. Middlewood remain on five points, the same as Barnsley (Women)
Development, but have played two fewer games as the pair strive to avoid finishing in bottom
       place.
The Division Two race remains wide open. The meeting between the top duo ended 2-0
to Mosborough over hosts Swallownest thanks to goals from Katie Flanagan and Beth
Tonner. Swallownest dropped to fourth and are the outsiders, but their three remaining games
are against teams currently above them, so maximum points could see them finish top,
especially as there are other “six-pointers” still to be played. Handsworth Development,
who play home and then away against Swallownest in the two games they have left, edged past
Dronfield Town Res 3-2 to stay a point behind Mosborough. Maheen Ahmed (2) and Emily
Clayton scored for Handsworth with Summer Ingham netting both for Dronfield. Penistone
Church stay one point behind the leaders after they recorded a high scoring win over
Mexborough Athletic for the second Sunday running. Jessica Barrow (2), Jess Ross (2),
Kirsty Downing, Jodie Stancill and Georgia Tagg were on target in a 7-0 victory to make it 17-0
in the two meetings between the pair.
Staveley Miners Welfare made it 13 wins from 13 in Division Three, where they need
just two more points to put themselves beyond the reach of second placed AFC Norton
Woodseats. Leading scorer Carly Rowlands added another brace to her tally (which is nearly
at the half century mark) for the season with Billie Gordon also scoring in a 3-2 win at third
placed Dearne & District, both of whose goals came from Emma Fleetwood. A brace from
Magan Hill secured a 2-1 win for Eckington Belles over Charnock Ridgeway, Peaches
Henley-Smith on target for the visitors. Leanne Cooper scored the Wickersley Youth goals
in their 2-1 victory away to Kiveton Park Res, Hannah Barden with the home goal.
