P. 3
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Keynsham Town FC at the
AJN Stadium. I would like to extend a special warm welcome to our
visiting side today Bitton FC, their supporters and ours alike, together
with today’s match officials, referee Dave Trevaskus and his 2
assistants, Jozsef Madaras & Simon Venn. I am sure we will have
good game of competitive football with what promises to be a sunny
afternoon if the forecast is correct when I was writing this report!!
The season has got off to slow start for us with only 3 wins from 10
games, but our last two games have shown great progress from the
very young side run by Total Pro Soccer led by Ash Morgan and
Marvin … and assisted by our own Chris King, who was working with
our reserve team last season and been involved with club for many
years as a player and first team manager.
The 5-2 win at Bishop Sutton and the 7-2 win at home against Odd
Down (Bath) were welcome points after playing good football in
previous games but not gaining a result. Let’s hope this continues!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those helping
with our club who spend their time preparing for match days each
week. It has been a very busy period recently playing on Tuesdays
and Saturdays and I am sure all those teams in Western League clubs
will support me in thanking all the volunteers who make it possible
for us to watch such good football in a very strong league.
Today starts a hectic run of 8 home games for us at Crown Fields in
the space of 6 weeks! Next up is another local derby this coming
Tuesday with AEK Boco the visitors (7:45pm kick-off), before we host
Hallen on Saturday 16 September (3:00 pm kick-off).
th
Enjoy the game the game today and I look forward to seeing you at
many other games in the weeks ahead!
Up the Ks!!
