Not the result we wanted!
Brislington 0 Keynsham Town 3
ATT 196
Last night we welcomed our nearest rivals Keynsham to The Poplar Insula on
Stadium.
Before the game we paid tribute to Francis Bishop, Stephen Prangley & Graham
Day with a minutes applause before the game.
We were without Asa White, Simon Prangley, Conor Mccormack & Mitch
Greenslade.
Mark Fear, Kain Edmondson & Ryan Bath all made their first starts of the season.
We didn’t start well and the away side were moving the ball about much quicker &
we’re ba ling harder to win the ball. We were guilty of to many stray passes.
We were one down on 14mins when a well worked move was finished well.
We were struggling to get to grips with the game even though there were glimmers
of hope with Jordan Scadding finding some space & making some probing runs on
the le . But the away defence were hard to break down.
On 23 mins our defence that was so strong on Saturday was breached again when
another quick move le the striker in space who dispatched the ball past Heal.
We were star ng to struggle for ideas and were si ng deeper leaving Bath Isolated
up top.
Captain Sco Lewis then picked up a shoulder injury which looked like he would be
unable to carry on but with only 10mins to half me he decided to carry on.
In injury me of the half Keynsham found more space Heal couldn’t hold the shot
and the Keynsham player was quickest to react to make it 0-3 at half me.
We changed our shape for the 2nd half to 4-3-3 in the hope we could find an early
goal to have some hope of salvaging something from it.
While we worked harder & we’re seeing more of the ball the closest we came was
when Scaddings deflected free kick hit the post.
We struggled to find away through the stubborn Keynsham defence and the defeat
looked inevitable.
Keynsham nearly increased their lead when the ball hit the woodwork.
FT 0-3 obviously the not the result we wanted a er Saturday. But we have a quick
turnaround before we for we face Brimscombe & Thrupp in the FA cup on Saturday.
Thank you to all those who a ended you support is always welcome
