Peterborough Utd follow on as they ran out 3-0 winners over Leafield Athletic. The
first half was goalless but Tara Kirk put the Posh Women in front two minutes after the restart
and after Jessica Driscoll quickly added a second, Kirk rounded off the scoring with her second
goal late on.
Northampton Town meanwhile leapfrogged Solihull Moors in the table after
winning their meeting 2-1. Alex Dicks netted a goal in each half for the Cobblers, including the
winner with four minutes remaining, whilst the Moors' consolation came from Rebecca Knight.
On Wednesday night, Stourbridge restored their seven-point advantage as leaders
following a 16-1 win against Long Eaton Utd. Lois Jefferies was on target four times for the
Glassgirls and Niamh Deasy hit a hat-trick whilst Millie Rogers, Lexie Harrison and Amber
Lawrence all contributed doubles. Alex Nicklin, Ellie McGovern and Esme Moran also got on
the scoresheet for Stourbridge.
Sheffield FC and Lincoln City each picked up a point to edge themselves away from any
further danger after their meeting finished in a 2-2 draw. Beth Scarll and Alex O'Neill had given
Sheffield a two-goal lead, before Lincoln hit back for a share of the spoils thanks to Leah Hardy
and Toni McHamilton.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd stepped up the pressure at the top of the table by scoring eight times without
reply past Cambridge City. Hayley West led the scoring with a hat-trick, Samantha Rowland
weighed in with a double and there was one apiece from Grace Gillard, Malika Apindia Gille and
Esme Lancaster as the Tags opened up a lead of five points.
The points were shared at Queen's Park Rangers where the home side battled out a 3-3
draw with third placed London Seaward. Kasha Petit was on target twice for Rangers along
with a Joanna Butler-Williams own goal, whilst Seaward scored through Giorgia Bracelli, Rea
Laudat and Katherine Long.
London Seaward were in action again on Thursday night, this time playing host to title
hopefuls AFC Wimbledon. An own goal put the Dons ahead shortly before half time but the
Anchors fought back after the break and an injury time equaliser from Franka Zimmerer earned
them a 1-1 draw and put a dent in Wimbledon's title challenge.
Division One South West
Selsey Women brought an end to a run of four straight defeats in emphatic style as they won
4-0 against Larkhall Athletic, whose position is looking more and more desperate. Skye
Bacon, Nicky Lake and Amelia Hammond all scored to put the Seals three goals ahead at half
time and Natasha Wild rounded off the scoring with the fourth goal, midway through the
second half.
Keynsham Town meanwhile banished any lingering fears with a 1-0 victory in their
local derby match against Portishead Town 1-0. Vicky Vipond settled matters for Keynsham
when she clipped home the only goal of the game, midway through the second half.
Reserve Section round-up
Durham Cestria were held to a goalless draw by Chorley but their lead has increased to
three points after second placed Leeds Utd were beaten 2-1 by Barnsley. Katie Astle did give
Leeds a first half lead but after the break, Barnsley hit back for victory with goals from Louise
Biggins and Delia Hurdiss. Millie Williams netted twice and Anais Bathily the other as
Liverpool Feds won 3-1 against Middlesbrough, whose consolation came from Hannah
Robson. Stockport County meanwhile leapfrogged Bradford City in the table and are out
of the bottom two after winning their meeting 4-1, courtesy of a goal apiece from Josie
Etheridge, Natasha Hanks, Abby Lester and Ellie Richardson.
Derby County have taken over as the new leaders of the Midland Division following
their 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Josie Smith had given Wolves a
fifteenth minute lead, before Derby netted through Isabel Sheridan. Third placed West
Bromwich Albion are only three points off the pace after scoring six times without reply past
Long Eaton Utd. Nyara Denny was on target twice for Albion along with Maia Clark, Izzie
