Good afternoon & welcome to the Lancer Scott
for this afternoon’s visit of Street F.C. I hope
their supporters, officials and players enjoy the
day with us and have a safe journey home.
WHAT a WEEK, highs and a low.
Last time we were here we took 3 very important
points off the only team below us in the league,
Bridport, a very convincing victory. Then we
travelled down the M5 for the 1st of 2 trips in a
week, Taunton Town, 1st round of the Somerset
Premier cup. Great! They recently beat Shepton
Mallet 8-1. An historic night, we won on
penalties, all the squad were heroes. Please see the match report later in the
programme.
Taunton Town were so impressed with Connor Hartley that they signed him on dual
registration. Connor immediately made his Taunton debut on Tuesday in a cup tie
Vs Barnstaple, awarded M.O.M in a 6-0 victory, well done Connor.
Then next M5 trip to Wellington ended in disappointment with a 3-2 defeat.
Disappointing and frustrating.
Today we meet Street for the 1st meeting in a very long time, unfortunately I don’t
have records of historical meetings. But what I can say is that our visitors are just
3 places above us, 6 points clear but have played 2 games more. It is a very
important game for both sides.
Next Saturday, 23rd October, is a FA Vase game Vs Bemerton Heath from the
Wessex League. The Following Saturday we are running a coach (£10 per head) for
the trip to Helston, we have had a good response but there are spaces for
supporters, please see me for seats. See below for pick up points.
