Mole and Autumn Colledge scored second half goals to give Spennymoor the points, after
Norton had led at half time through a strike from Ellie Hamilton. Rachel Hepple and
Samantha Deverdics accounted for the goals as Wallsend BC Res won 2-1 against
Washington Association, for whom Abigail Herron netted a consolation.
North West League
Salford City Lionesses are up into fourth place, and can still finish in the top three,
after running out 4-1 winners away to West Didsbury & Chorlton. In the other
Premier Division game, AFC Darwen were 1-0 victors away to Mossley Hill.
Blackburn Community SC clinched the Division One North title in midweek
with a 3-0 victory over Haslingden and on Sunday, they shared a g0alless draw with
Blackpool who will be runners-up if they win their final match of the season. Blackpool
have a seven point advantage over Haslingden who also drew, 1-1 against Penrith AFC.
In Division One South, Runcorn Linnets moved up to sixth place after picking up
maximum points from a double header against Didsbury Ladies. Wythenshawe
Amateurs meanwhile returned to winning ways with a 2-0 success against
Altrincham.
South West League
The two title challengers in the Eastern Division both recorded victories on Sunday, to
maintain the two point gap between themselves. Swindon Town Development
remain as leaders after they defeated Paulton Rovers 3-0, thanks to a goal apiece from
Kathryn Bach, Ruby Colleton and Amelia Dudding. Warminster Town, who have a
game in hand, kept themselves on course by winning 7-1 away to Keynsham Town Res.
Maddie Brown led the scoring for Warminster with a four-goal haul, Mia Blazey weighed
in with a brace and Millie Spratt was also on target, with Darcey Banfield replying.
On Good Friday, Plymouth Argyle U23 assured themselves of at least the
runners-up spot in the Western Division when they ran out 7-2 winners over Helston
Athletic. Emily Mousley bagged a hat-trick for Argyle and she was joined on the
scoresheet by Bethan Cowd, Taylor Ford, Sophie Buchanan and Katie Middleton, with
Eve-Charlotte Moore and Sasha Sparkes replying.
West Midlands League
Stourbridge moved into second place in the Premier Division after Esme Moran, Cheryl
Edwards and Amber Ireson-Lawrence all scored in their 3-0 victory away to Crusaders.
Meanwhile the points were shared at Coundon Court where the home side fought out a
2-2 draw with Kidderminster Harriers. Alex Shilton bagged a brace for Court, whilst
Kiddy hit back with goals from Mia Badland and Dani Selmes. Amy Mulcock (2), Jenna
Lapore and Lauren D'oyen-Fitchett accounted for the goals as Worcester City ran out
4-0 winners over City of Stoke, whilst Coventry Sphinx defeated Tamworth by the
same scoreline thanks to doubles from Angel Scandrett and Neve Platt.
Shrewsbury Town have clinched the Division One North title after beating
second placed Walsall Wood 4-2. Madison Jones, Lily McShane, Zoe Child and Libby
Veitch all scored a goal apiece for the Shrews to confirm themselves as Champions, whilst
Wood's replies came from Jamila Palmer and Emma Baggott.
The race is also over in Division One South with Solihull Sporting carrying off the
title when being awarded a win, meaning they end the campaign with a two point lead
over runners-up Knowle, who signed off with a 4-0 victory away to Kingfisher in which
Natalie Gibson netted twice along with Jessica Barlow and Katherine Fleming. Arshi
Zahoor (2) and Megan Hawley scored the goals as Sedgley & Gornal Utd secured a top
three place for themselves by winning 3-2 at Leamington Lions, who replied through
Sarah Costa and Bonnie Mountford.
