“As we go into our last home game of 2024-25 we reflect on the season so far. If at the
start of the season someone had of told us we would have been top half of the table going
into the last few games and not having to worry about relegation we would have taken it.
We have drawn almost as many games as we have won which is not ideal but to be in with a
chance of winning the league in our first season was beyond anyone's expectations. The
team and management should be extremely proud of their achievements regardless of how
our last few games go.
We welcome Hanham Athletic to Pen Park this weekend. They have been involved in the
relegation battle in the latter stages of the season but are now safe and whilst there is not
anything on the line for them, they will still want to finish the season strongly.
Whilst the league is not in our hands there is still a remote possibility and a win this
weekend would keep us in touching distance of the teams above.
Everyone at the club is proud of our season so far and we are hoping for a few positive
results to bring it to a close. We would like to thank you for all the support that we have
received this season and all the help you having given with putting up nets, sponsorships
boards or travelling up and down the motorway to games.
It really means a lot to the players, manager, and the committee, and we look forward to
seeing you again next season where we hope to do you proud once again.
As this will be our managers last home game, I would like to encourage all our fans to give
him as much abuse as you can. He will miss it when he has gone so only right to give him a
proper send off.
We will hopefully see you back at the Filton Feast one last time to celebrate the season
with a few beers.”
