WELCOME TO SHIREHAMPTON F.C.
Good evening and welcome to Bristol Telephones
For this evening fixture. SHIREHAMPTON
It’s been a terrible start for myself and the players, I set out FOOTBALL CLUB
with a squad of 22 at the start of the season and was
expecting to have to make some tough calls, the last two
fixtures I’ve had to give details in the wassap group for President
fixtures to 6 players out of the 22, leaving me with 16 Kelvin Gordon
players unavailable due to injury and 2 awaiting
international clearance it’s been unbelievable and you
couldn’t make it up after such a bright start away at Chairman:
Gillingham. Pete McCall

The Loan signings have played well and worked hard for
the cause, there all good players but we’ve lost a bit of that Secretary & Treasurer:
togetherness I was trying to build, having to rebuild a side
after 1 game of the season hadn’t helped that cause, it’s Mark Stockham
been hard work and at times challenging but I’m markstockham@yahoo.co.uk
determined to get through it and ride it out and hopefully
start turning draws into wins, although I am realistic and Assistant Secretary:
know it’s a difficult division with a full squad let alone a Richard Carey
depleted one. r-carey&sky.com
We have signed Frankie Phillips to take over in goal from
George Brimson, George did fantastic for us last season Matchday Secretary:
and I’d like to mention how grateful I was for him stepping Nicky Carey
in whilst out of his comfort zone and performing well. This
season the injury crisis hasn’t helped him individually as it’s Committee Members:
a hard position to play and with this in mind we’ve felt we
need to improve this area of the team. George accepted James Loud
the decision gracefully and it’s a credit to him how he dealt Sharlie Sollars
with it. He’s been a good servant to the club and I’d like to Lee Rogers
thank him personally for his help last season, especially at Tom Donnely
the tail end where he stepped in between the sticks and
help take us to the play off final.
Bar Manager:
Tonight’s opponents will be much improved from last year, Alex Warman
John Allen is a top manager and I’ve come across him the
last 4/5 seasons and his teams are always well drilled and
organised and tonight will be a difficult challenge but one Club address:
we have to be positive about and look to win the 3 points, Penpole Lane,
it’s no Shirehampton
Good feeling sorry for ourselves with the position we’re in Bristol BS11 0EA
we have to keep working hard, stay compact and organised
and minimise individual
Mistakes over the whole 90 mins and we will be fine. Telephone number:
0117 235 461
Enjoy the game and hope to see you again
throughout the season
