WELCOME

Good evening and welcome to the South West Interiors Stadium as we return to
League action. A very warm welcome to Lee Hobbs and his management team, the
squad, club officials and supporters who have made the lengthy mid-week trip up
the M5 from Plymouth today. We hope you enjoy your visit and wish you a safe
       journey home.

This evening will be an important match for both teams as we share the unenviable
position of occupying the bottom two positions in the division, something that will
be apparently clear to all supporters. What is slightly misleading is that we have
five teams all with a single victory and therefore one win from arguably jumping up
to five places and clear of the dreaded relegation zone. For the Bluebells we
therefore have two key fixtures in three games with Winchester (1 point ahead of
       us) visiting next Tuesday.

The GFA Senior Challenge win against Slimbridge last week puts us through to the
quarter final with an away tie against Cheltenham Town Reserves. The nature of
the competition is such that clubs are responsible for mutually agreeing the venue
and date. We will post details as soon as they are finalised.

And so to this evening’s visitors. Parkway have enjoyed very successful seasons
most recently champions of the Southern League Division One South in their first
season. Winning 26 of 36 fixtures and scoring 92 goals during the campaign. The
first season in the Premier Division South started with a few tough matches and
heavy defeats. After opening the season with a 2-2 draw at home to Chesham in
front of a good crowd of 575 defeats to Dorchester, Merthyr, Gosport and WSM
followed conceding nine goals in the last two of these matches. After a break for
cup competitions Parkway returned to league action a different side. A close 4-4
encounter with Hartley Wintney showed this, frustratingly Hartley grabbed the
equaliser deep in stoppage time. After that they beat Salisbury, took Oxford City to
a replay in the FA Cup and on Saturday knocked Dorchester out of the FA Trophy.
One to watch is Ben Seymour who moved to Parkway after being released from
Exeter City at the end of last season. Ten goals from thirteen appearances says it
       all.

       C’mon you #Bluebells………….
