FILTON ATHLETIC 1 - 0 STOKE GIFFORD SGS UTD (16th November 2024)

“Typical derby cup game really, we started strongly in the first 30 minutes

creating some good chances and scoring a very well worked goal with an
excellent finish.

I was really pleased with the goal as it’s something we spoke about in the
dressing room before the game and we executed it well. The college boys
changed formation after the goal which settled things down until half time but
we probably should of went in 2 up.

It was a very stop start scrappy second half with neither side looking like
scoring, not our best performance but another clean sheet and win against our

local rivals so job done.
A massive test ahead of us this week in the league leaders and title favourites

Almondsbury, we will have to be at our best to get anything out of todays
game. A tough start to a tough few weeks ahead.”
