Scope and Sequence Planning
District ICT Support Data
The ICT Support Staff met with administration and ICT committee members to develop an ICT assessment strategy prior to completing a staff presentation. The staff presentations were complete on the following dates:
AJSH - March 2 2:30- 3:30pm DBES - March 9 3:30- 5:00pm MRE- March 10 3:30 - 4:30pm NDE - March 16 3:30 - 4:30pm NDH - March 17 1:45 - 3:15pm SDE - April 1st 3:30 - 4:30pm
The information and feedback collected at these meetings resulted in two different approaches for determining the ICT scope and sequence at the schools. At the elementary level ICT outcomes were organized by grade level and correlated these outcomes to hardware, software and student/teacher skill sets. This approach has developed a clear picture of outcome expectations and progression at each grade level. This approach will provide the necessary guidance for staff to determine what ICT outcomes need to be covered at a given grade level.
The high school and middle school ICT Scope and Sequence was initiated by recording current ICT projects at the various grade levels. This information will assist the ICT committee members and administration in addressing areas of weakness and planning for future ICT implementation in the years to come.
