Teaching tools
1- Remote Desktop (Mac) or Vision (PC and Mac)
This application is a very important tool to teach in a computer lab. This application allows the teacher to take control of student workstations. You can share a computer screen, get attention, remove access to applications and supervise students while they are working. This application is only available at the Teacher Workstation.
2- ACTIVboard
This tool is available at NDE and SDE. With the ACTIVboard you can demonstrate and teach to the entire class using all available applications. The ACTIVslate allows the teacher to circulate in the class while controlling the computer.
3- Teacher Folder
The teacher folder is a very important tool because this folder allows interaction between teachers and students. Teachers can share files, links, models and templates with students and students can share their projects with the teachers. This folder is the Class Shared folder at SDE and MRE and is the Drop Box folder at NDE.
4- Internet Filter : NetYZ
NetYZ is a filter installed on the server that filters the Internet access. Netyz will block any inappropriate websites to be seen and open by user and students. If Netyz does not block some websites, teachers need to enter the websites in the list of blocked sites.
