“A CATHOLIC COMMUNITY OF LEARNERS OPENING HEARTS MINDS AND DOORS....”
 GOAL THREE
LIBRARY & LEARNING RESOURCES SUPPORT
Introduction
A learning resource is information, represented and stored in a variety of media and formats, that assist student learning as defined by Provincial or local curricula. This definition spans what we can call traditional, new and emerging tech- nologies. Although the District Plan focuses primarily on new and some emerging technologies, the traditional technolo- gies are included where possible. In future revisions of this plan, the broad spectrum of learning resources including tra- ditional, new and emerging technologies should be ad- dressed more thoroughly. The reason is that these technolo- gies must all be recognized and supported as contributors to student learning.
Science teachers report the greatest difficulty in finding soft- ware, followed by English, math, and social studies teachers.
