Wireless Infrastructure
Lakeland Catholic began exploring wireless network access as a result of the provincial eMerge One to One Project in early 2006-2007. The district selected Meru Networks as a solution for providing enterprise access to wireless networks. To date the Meru product still provides the wireless infrastructure for the school district. The Meru products are a key component in the current implementation of the BYOD program

•Server closet needs to be moved to a secure location.
•The library printer needs to be networked.
•The Macintosh computers need to be networked with Ethernet to fully utilize their capabilities.
•Inkjet printers should be removed from the school and printing should be network based.
•Technical support outside the district support model should be eliminated and all computers need the appropriate lock down to prevent unauthorized access.
