Prayers

We have entrusted our brother John to God’s mercy,
in sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life through
our Lord Jesus Christ,
who will transform our frail bodies that they may be conformed to
his glorious body, who died,
was buried, and rose again for us. To him be glory for ever. Amen.

May the light of Christ pierce the darkness of your grief.
May the love of Christ lift your spirits and gladden each day.
May the peace of Christ fill your hearts and comfort your sorrow.
May Christ our Saviour walk by your side, today and tomorrow.
And may the blessing of our Eternal God, Father, Son and Holy
Spirit be with you, now and until the age that is to come.
Amen.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
