Finally, our striving comes at a cost, a cost which is mostly borne
by a small number of people. So, as we turn towards the New Year
I ask you to think and pray for them and about what gifts you might
be able to offer to sustain and develop the church even more. Also,
pray that the God of faithfulness will look upon our efforts, bless
them and steer them to His purposes.
With every blessing for Christmas and the New Year. Paul
Social Events & Fund Raising
We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas and plans are
afoot to decorate the Worship Area. Unwanted CD’s or DVD’s are
needed to help bring the ‘shine’ envisaged inside and out! If you
have any to off-load please give them to Lesley or leave on the
table in the vestibule; we need a lot!
There will also be a place for Christmas Cards you may want to
send to Church Friends.
We’ll be having a preparation afternoon for anyone who wants to
help, on Tuesday 9th December from 2 pm.
Our Candle-Lit Music and Fayre Evening is late this year on
th
Wednesday December 17 from 4.30 pm. see page 15.
We look forward to the children singing and playing from 5 pm,
followed by Handbells, Sarah and finally Carols for all to join in.
The Stalls will be glad of anything appropriate to sell - Cakes,
Christmas, and Gift Stall. We are also having a Tombola of
Christmas consumables!
Refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
Our planned New Year Social Evening is on
th
Saturday 24 January from 4.30 pm
with entertainment and non-threatening activities! As usual ‘the
Team’ will provide sandwiches and we ask Church members and
friends to bring the treats.
