Community News from Swanage and the Surrounding Villages

Welcome all to the March issue and Spring which will hopefully give us a general uplift to our morale after such
a gruelling winter. Tom Clarke’s article, on page 2, together with many others, gives us just a sample of Spring
that is around the corner.
This March edition also notes with pride the many achievements during the last few months by our wonderful
local groups and organisations and which also shows a wide range of planned activities being organised across
Purbeck. Activities and events range from giving help to our own local folk who are struggling with the cost of
living crisis, or aid for those in disaster stricken areas such as Ukraine, Turkey and Syria – plus a whole series of
exciting planned future events purely for your pleasure.
In these desperately difficult times, it really is incredibly humbling how so many in our Purbeck communities find
the time and energy to give so much to others, isn’t it?
