Ulwell Home Group

The Ulwell Home Group is alive and kicking and one which is a
continuation of the group originally run by Simon Franklin during his time
with us, when we met at the Manse. Following Simon’s retirement, the
group moved to John and Pat Foster’s home at Ballard Estate with John
taking the lead. Martyn Neads then took over and the group moved to
2 Mill Cottages when Pat Foster moved away. Subsequently Lex took the
lead, following Martyn’s move to Harpenden.

There have been a few gaps in its life and the style and subject matter
have been varied to say the least and I think it’s fair to say that although
I organise the evening, we are a democratic group with no direct leader!

       We have followed two excellent video courses run by the Bible Society;
the first on ‘Romans’ and the second ‘The Bible Course’, both with
excellent content and led by Andrew Ollerton.

Currently we are following a 24/7 series on Prayer, with Ann Y taking the
lead and again with videos, which like the Bible Society courses are very
       professional and aid discussion.

Refreshments and prayer are vital elements to the evening!

We meet every other Tuesday between 6.30 - 8.00 pm.
It is so good to see that a second Home Group has begun.
                                                                       Davina

       As Christians, followers of Jesus,
our heart is to know His heart! How
       do we do that?

Would you agree that principally, this is done through reading His
Word? For indeed, how does one know the author of a book other
than reading what he has to say?

No matter where we are in our faith journey, reading the Holy Bible
regularly is key to knowing God. If we want to grow spiritually and
learn how to navigate life with Jesus, His Word is a must! PTO
