Funeral Sentences

                                  Opening Prayers

                                        Hymn

Morning has broken, like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird.
Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning!
Praise for them, springing fresh from the Word!

Sweet the rain's new fall sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness, of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight! Mine is the morning,
Born of the one light Eden saw play!
Praise with elation, praise every morning,
God's re-creation of the new day!

                               Psalm 23 said together

                              The Lord is my shepherd:
                             therefore can I lack nothing.

He will make me lie down in green pastures:
and lead me beside still waters.

                                He will refresh my soul:
and guide me in right pathways for his name's sake

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
                                    I will fear no evil:
for you are with me, your rod and your staff comfort me.

You spread a table before me, in the face of those who trouble me:
you have anointed my head with oil, and my cup will be full.

Surely your goodness and loving kindness will follow me
all the days of my life:
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
