Post Cataract Operation Precautions Stephen Feltham
Following my recent cataract operations in Royal Bournemouth Hospital last year I was very
strongly advised when bathing or showering to keep my eyes dry and not allow anything to get in
them. I was in a bit of a dilemma until I came up, (even if I do say so myself), with a rather
brilliant idea.
I struck upon the notion of wearing my ski goggles in the shower to protect my eyes. They
worked very well indeed, and I am proud to say that my eyes stayed free of ingress and
subsequent contagion and that I have now recovered from the operation entirely.
In case any other friends are undergoing the same medical procedure in the near future I am
attaching a photo of myself proudly showing my goggles in place just before I took a shower. I
can only say how fortunate all you readers are that the photo is just of me in head and shoulders
pose. I would have been so embarrassed had it been anything else!
The slight blurring in this picture was due to editing.
