Service led by Reverend John Cooper

                                  Incoming Music

Mozart Piano Concerto 21 in C major K467 (Andante)

                   Murray Perahia/ English Chamber Orchestra

                          Welcome and Opening Prayer

                                        Hymn

Accompanied by the choir of Jesus College, Cambridge

He who would valiant be ’gainst all disaster,
Let him in constancy follow the Master.
There’s no discouragement shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent to be a pilgrim.

Who so beset him round with dismal stories
Do but themselves confound—his strength the more is.
No foes shall stay his might; though he with giants fight,
He will make good his right to be a pilgrim.

Since, Lord, Thou dost defend us with Thy Spirit,
We know we at the end, shall life inherit.
Then fancies flee away! I’ll fear not what men say,
I’ll labour night and day to be a pilgrim.

                            John Bunyan: The Pilgrim’s Progress

                                      Reading

                                     Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills

       1
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills : from whence cometh my
         help.
       2
My help cometh from the Lord : who hath made heaven and
         earth.
       3
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved : and he that keepeth thee
         will not sleep.
       4
Behold, he that keepeth Israel : shall neither slumber nor sleep.
