Ellie Gering
My name is Ellie Gering and I was born and raised on a wheat farm outside Ritzville, Washington. I have always had a passion for agriculture that developed from working on my family farm and being involved in agriculture classes/FFA in high school. I believe agriculture is an important topic to teach future gener- ations. Programs like FFA shape individuals and their futures for the better. My plan is to attend Washington State University where I will obtain a degree in Ag- riculture Education. From there I will begin my career as a high school agricul- ture teacher somewhere nearby and look forward to giving my students the same opportunities my teachers gave me. I would love to be an FFA Advisor, which is another dream of mine. With my degree, I would also have options to work with community outreach in the agriculture industry. I am looking forward to having a career which allows me to continue developing my passion for agriculture.
“Hi, my name is Elisha Wade. Growing up on a farm grew quickly into a passion for agriculture which I continued to build upon as a 4-H and FFA member. Starting my own business raising club lambs and registered Angus cattle contributed further to this passion. Now that I have graduated high school, I will attend the University of Idaho this fall and major in Ani-
mal Science with plans to pursue a career as an animal nutritionist. I am excited to stay involved and look forward to eventually giving back to the agricultural community!”

“My name is Josee Newman, I live on a ranch in Moses Lake, Washington. Throughout high school I was very involved in many different organiza- tions inside and outside of school. I have been very active in the Wash- ington State High School Rodeo Association throughout high school and served as both the Student Secretary and President. In school I was a 4-H and FFA member and I have been showing steers and hogs at the Grant County Fair since third grade. I graduated from Wilson Creek High School in June and will attend Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon. I will earn a degree in General Agriculture and look forward to competing on the TVCC Rodeo Team.”

As the saying goes, “Great things are never found in your comfort zone”, so onward I push toward my life-long dream of ranch management and growing my own ranch. With hard work and dedication, I know that my goal is attainable.”
