I had the privilege to attend the Kittitas County Cattlewomen General Fall Meeting as a guest and induct their new slate of the officers for the upcoming year. Installing officers is always a fun ceremony. I’m grateful to be asked to do it, as I know how cool it is when the ANCW President installs us in state office every year. The evening was full of laughs with fellow cattlewomen and amazing food provided by Rodeo City BBQ in Ellensburg that is just plain hard to beat!

The new 4-H year is also upon so many of us now with enrollment! Our household decided to move on to bigger things (literally) and show steers this year, which I am very excited for! We are already selecting the calves and the boys are picking out names and ready to start halter breaking. Talk about a flash back!
I miss the steer showing days and taking my ranch calves to the annual fair. I’m looking forward to all the learning experiences this next year is going to bring for the kids and I hope they enjoy it just as much as I did!
