There was the 6-speed, air-cooled 1992 Carrera; a pair of Cabriolets in the mid-2000s; a 997 GTS, 4S
Targa, and an extensively modified 2010 Turbo that may as well have been a land-bound rocket ship.
Today, Dr. Diaz splits time between her 2020 992 Carrera S, and her gleaming, green Taycan 4S Cross
Turismo—the only EV she considered, as it still manages to capture the indescribable Porsche essence.

While some might buy a Porsche as status symbol, Dr. Diaz bases her purchases on passion for the
exquisite combination of engineering, technology, driving excitement, and alluring style. It’s a formula
the brand figured out decades ago, and has refined ever since. In some respects, the opposite of the
COVID-19 virus’ evolution; rather than weakening in force, Porsches only get better. Fortunately, both
results point toward a brighter future.
