PALM BEACH ZOO AND BRAMAN MOTORCARS PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT TIGER HABITAT
Through a multi‐year commitment as
the lead corporate sponsor, Braman Motorcars of Palm Beach & Jupiter will support the Zoo’s tiger health and well- ness, education and daily operations in the expanded exhibit habitat which has recently been reconstructed to double its original size! Both the Zoo and Braman are ecstatic about this new corporate sponsorship.
The Malayan tiger, found only on the Malay Peninsula and the southern tip of Thailand is sadly categorized as critically endangered. The majestic breed now faces a threat far greater than many that have been tackled before: linear infra- structure. As a result, tigers are unable
to breed, hunt, nd cover, and establish their own territories. Fragmented areas become too small to sustain minimum tiger populations. Staggeringly, almost 7,000 miles of roads and railways are already planned for construction through tiger landscapes.
The Palm Beach Zoo’s Malayan tigers reside in the Australia/Asia section of the Zoo. Zoo o cials are hopeful that tiger cubs will be born through breeding rec- ommendations made by the Tiger Spe- cies Survival Plan (SSP) of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Zoo o - cials said each tiger birth is critical to help preserve the species from extinction, as scientists estimate fewer than 500 Ma- layan tigers exist in the wild. Every tiger cub born will contribute to the genetic diversity of the Malayan tiger population and species conservation e orts.
The joint sponsorship will help continue the Zoo’s tradition of providing quality care and a natural habitat for its resident tigers.
"This new partnership makes sense because both organizations are funda- mentally about relationships," says Bra- man Motorcars General Manager Steve Grossman. "For Braman, it's between us and our customers. For the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society, it's between people and the animals that make the Zoo a magical place. Working togeth-
er, we have the opportunity to create unique avenues of communication and awareness that will bene t them all. You don't nd that kind of win‐win situation very often, and we're looking forward to
the challenge."
Zoo President & CEO Andrew Aiken adds
that the new sponsorship illustrates the connection between business and con-

ly‐bene cial vehicle choice. Getting that message out to our 300,000 visitors each year is a good thing for Braman, a good thing for the Zoo, and a great thing for wildlife.”
