the scrap drive. When you get past that, that's why we only have one or two or three copies of some
of these records that are known to exist because all the rest of them have been ground up for scrap
or ground down to nothing by the people that were playing over and over and over again. It's really
a part of our history as the world and a part of the culture of America and everything else that's

just been almost wiped from existence and the only way it still remains is people like me who go
out there and find it and track it down and then spend a bunch of time and money restoring it and
putting it out so somebody can hear it. It's a real challenge to do it.

BiTS: I loved the Lost John Hunter stuff that came wth the latest calendar.

JT: Okay, so you liked the lost John Hunter stuff, right?

BiTS: I like that. Yes, absolutely.

JT: Let me give you a couple of hints here. The one that's coming out this year is going to have
completely never before heard Lead Belly stuff on it.

    BiTS: Wow! Really?

JT: And I haven't announced this
anywhere, but since we're talking about it,

I'm just telling you. You can put that in
your story if you want to. You can be the
    announcement for that.

    BiTS: Thank you very much.

JT: And, here's the better one. Well, better,
it depends on your perspective, but for the
next one. Not the one we're working on

now, but for 2023, I've got unissued John
Lee stuff. John Lee on Federal label.
‘Alabama Boogie’, ‘Down at the Depot’, that
Playboy Fuller, later known as Louisiana Red
    guy.

    BiTS: Yes, I've got you.

JT: I've got unreleased stuff by him and I've got unreleased stuff by Playboy Fuller, who was later
known as Louisiana Red. I have the Playboy Fuller JVB session, which no one's ever heard and
there's some stunning stuff on that.

BiTS: That's absolutely fabulous. What a great job you do, John. You are to be highly commended.

JT: As far as rare pre-war, the upcoming one will have one record on it that's super rare, it's
Washboard Walter and John Byrd. It's called 'Woofin' Blues' from 1932 and it's one of those super
rare late Paramount's that hadn't turned up. We got that, so that will be on the next one too.

BiTS: John, once again, thank you so much for talking to me. It's been a delight. Thanks very much
indeed for talking to me. You have a great day.

    JT: Thank you. Bye.

    BiTS: Bye.
