to accomplish a lot of things. It’s like I said to somebody a while back, the funny thing is I feel like

    I’m just getting started.

BiTS: [Laughs] That’s great. I love that. That’s wonderful. Have you got any plans to go back in the
studio? Are you going to make another album before long?

DD: Oh, yes. I have all the music done for it. We’ve just got to go in and put it down. That’s it. Oh,
yes. Always, when you love music and you love what you do, it’s not hard to make albums at all.

BiTS: Do you play every day? Do you practice every day or just play?

DD: I actually don’t practice. I’ll pick up my accordion every blue moon and just kind of dilly-
daddle around, but only because we play so much. I don’t really have to practice because we’ll be
playing so much in a month, in a year.

BiTS: When you speak to guitar players, they often have dozens if not hundreds of different
guitars. Do you have lots and lots of accordions? Are you an accordion collector?

DD: [Laughs] I love accordions, yes. I still have plenty of accordions that I retired that I have here.

Some friends of mine want to buy them, and I’m like no, I’m not going to sell, man [chuckles]. Yes, I
actually have a good collection of accordions that if I show people, they would remember accordions
from the pictures that they’ve seen over the years. When it’s something like that, I definitely want
    to hold onto it.

BiTS: Do you do any stuff in French? Do you do Cajun stuff?

DD: Oh, yes. I actually have some stuff on my CD that I did, some Creole French. Oh, yes. That was
    actually part of the music.

BiTS: Tell me something about what the immediate future holds for you. Have you got any festivals
coming up or anything like that?

DD: Yes, we actually have a concert series tomorrow in Illinois that we’re doing and I have
something else in Indiana, another show that we’re doing and Saturday we have another big festival
in Tawas, Michigan. A lot of travels and just being blessed and just being happy that we’re out there

keeping the music and keeping the tradition.

BiTS: Do you and the band travel on a bus, or do you go by plane when you go over long distances?

DD: I would rather go by my van. It’s much easier. The flight could be a little bit more hectic
because if they cancel, then that’s it. There’s no explanation about it, so at least in my truck, we
could get there. We could stop. We could eat, whatever. It’s not a problem with baggage. I don’t

    charge nobody for their bags.

BiTS: Dwayne, thanks very much indeed for speaking to me. I won’t take any more of your time.
It’s been wonderful and you have a great day.

DD: Same here. Yes, definitely a pleasure meeting you.

    BiTS: Cheers. Bye then.

    DD: Alright. Bye-bye.
