playing out with a duo or trio, so I can offer a solo, duo or trio. So yes, I just hope it's
going to provide bigger venues, really and better money, I suppose [chuckling].
BiTS: I was going to ask you about the trio. It's a fairly new event for you to work
with other people. Well, at least, that's not true, obviously, because going back to the
original Babajack sound, the two of you, this is very different than that, though.
TB: Yes, I just thought for the third album I wanted some sort of progression of sound,
if you know what I mean, and on the song ‘The Solemn Truth And Barefaced Lies’, I
put in some backing vocals, and I think one track had percussion on. So I wanted to
do something different and add a few more colours to the palette, and I was lucky
enough to sort of get the guys, Jesse Bens on Cajon. He's a great player and a young
lad, 30 years old, and a fantastic classical violin player, Jo Chambers. She's never
played anything really, but sort of classical music, so it's quite a step for her.
BiTS: What are your plans about getting some of this recorded?
TB: Well, they recorded with me on the last half of the album on what was the album
called, “Not Far To Go”? So they get a few tracks on that, and myself and Jesse, we just
recorded a live album that's coming out on the 7th of June, which was recorded at the
Temperance bar. It wasn't really planned, they just recorded it, and it sounds really
good, so we put it onto a live album. So that's coming out on the 7th, and then later
