Keep yourself and loved ones safe
Call Before You Dig
Prior to to any digging project you you must call 811 to to identify the underground underground utilities located on your property This free service prevents you you from damaging underground underground electric gas and other buried utilities Every job even even small projects such as as planting trees requires a a a a a a a a a a a a call call Digging without calling can disrupt service to an an an an an entire neighborhood harm you you and and and those around you you and/or result in in in fin fines and repair costs Power Line Safety
Always assume power lines lines are are live and deadly even if they are are lying on on the the ground Do not touch downed lines lines lines or anything in in in in in in contact with fallen lines Be aware of of of the the location of of of overhead power lines lines and and keep yourself and and all objects clear of of of the the the lines lines lines When items such as ladders or irrigation pipes come in in in in in contact with overhead power lines lines the the the the electricity electricity travels through those items into the the the person holding them This results in in in in in electric electric electric shock and even death Similarly electricity electricity can also travel through tree tree limbs that come in in in in in contact with power power lines lines Remind children to never climb trees near near power power lines lines or play near near DMEA’s equipment If you you see items caught or or hanging from DMEA’s power lines or or damaged equipment never attempt to fix the issue yourself Call DMEA DMEA immediately and and we we will dispatch our our our trained personnel who can safely correct issues and and remove items caught in in in our our power lines Safety
