Lesson 2 – Initial standard users

• SAP* is the only user in the SAP system for which no user master
record is required, since it is defined in the system code. SAP* has, by

default, the password PASS, and unrestricted access authorizations for

the system.

• You can deactivate the special properties of SAP*. To do this, you must

set the system profile parameter ¨login/no_automatic_user_sapstar¨¨ to

a value greater than zero.

• DDIC user is responsible for maintaining the ABAP Dictionary and the

software logistics.

• Certain authorizations are predefined in the system code for the DDIC

user, meaning that it is, for example, the only user that can log on to the
SAP system during the installation of a new release.

• EarlyWatch user should only be used in client 066 for EarlyWatch
