6b. Open the patient’s chart using steps 1-5 of the EPIC Research Billing QRG.
1.Access the Research Coordination menu through the Visit Navigator
6b.2. Select CPT and E&M Codes from the left side of the menu:
• Select the appropriate administrative
function:
o IRB/Regulatory- if
entering Continuing Reviews/ Study Modifications
o Pharmacy/Clinical- if pharmacy fee (e.g. randomizing, initiation and closeout)
o Time Tracking- if entering in actual time for performing procedures (time should include administrative and functional time)
