7. Associate the lab orders:
• Go to the bottom of the screen and click, “associate”.
• Add a diagnosis of ‘research subject’ (verify that the ICD-10 code is Z00.6).
8. Accept the order and then sign the order.
5.2 Order Sets
Only physicians, may order medications in EPIC
Used when IP:
Will be given at Children’s Medical Center frequently and/or for a long duration of time.
1. Log into EPIC.
2. Choose the patient through the steps listed above or through the ‘Patient Station’ tab.
3. Click the ‘Order Sets’ tab on the left or may be at the top of the screen. In the search box type the designated IP name set-up by IDS Pharmacy. Once the correct IP has been found click ‘Add’.
4. Click the study order set.
