SOP Title: Request for Education Financial Support
APPENDIX C. RESEARCH EDUCATION FUNDS NOTIFICATION
Dear ___________________,
Congratulations! Your request for Research Education financial support in attending____________________ has been approved!
We are pleased that you are taking time out of your schedule to further your Research related education. Your efforts will further the research community of Children’s Medical Center Dallas at large.
The following items are expressed requirements for your success and continued approval of your request. Also, the required next steps are provided in an effort to assist you in meeting departmental expectations and guidelines:
Be sure to solidify your travel arrangements and time-off requests with the Research Administrative Coordinator prior to your travel.
Be sure to retain copies of your receipts for which you will need reimbursement of your travel and accommodations. These items must be submitted for reimbursement to occur.
It is expected that you facilitate a Return of Education (ROE) presentation to the Research team at large during the next staff meeting, or within 30 days of your return, whichever occurs first.
There is a minimum of 10 minutes time requirement for your presentation.
Your presentation date is slated for __________________________
Be sure to highlight the overall conference objectives, talks attended, noteable talks (presenters of interest)
Provide the take away information useful to the institution, colleagues and teammates.
Be prepared to have handouts and exemplars (as appropriate) provided at your conference that you can share in an electronic format.
Send a copy of your presentation to the Research Educator.
