Field trip to Wada for std X (part of syllabus)
EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP: ECO Farm WADA

On the 28 September 2019, we the students of Std X
were taken to a field trip to Eco farm, Wada. It was an
unforgettable experience for boys like us who had spent
all their lives in metropolitan city like Mumbai.

Students reached Eco farm, Wada by 10 am. The
climate was cool in Wada and temperature was near about

o
19 C with drizzling shower. We were split into groups of
20 once we reached the farm. There we met our escort,
Ramesh Sir. He was a gem of a person. He taught us
about various types of alternative farming and cultivation
in such an excellent way that we were instantly attracted
to it. We did various activities in the camp like river
crossing, archery, rifle shooting, Commando Bridge etc.

The scenic beauty of the place was just amazing. One
could see a variety of plants, but the dominant ones were
Mulberry, Lemon Grass, teak wood, Papaya, Singapore,
Coconut, White Jamun, Bamboo, Guava, Israel lemon, etc.
Medicinal plants such as Neem, Babool, Tulsi, Aloevera were

also grown. It was very picturesque. The fresh air in the area
was very refreshing. We understood that living in a village
has many perks.

By 12’O clock noon students gathered for lunch. After
lunch, students were taken to Tansa River. Students not only
crossed the river but also had much fun in the river.

At 6’O clock in the evening we sat in the bus to return
to Goregaon. As, we entered the city and saw the pollution
and commotion around us, we were reminded of our fond
memories of Wada.
