Bhishma Pitamaha of Vivek Family

Shri. K.S.Krishnan(Kambangudi Guruswami, senior most in the Kambangudi family and senior
most in the Vivek Education Societ, attained lotus feet of the Lord on 2oth July, 2020. He was 8.
He was associated with social and religious activities for the last 65 years. He has participated in
major Sasthapreethis-Ayyappa Pooja festivals, from 1955 all over Mumbai, Kochi, Alappuzha,
Ernakulam, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai etc. He was the founder member of
Sree Hariharaputra Samaj, Chembur, participated in all the activities, Prathishta of the
presiding diety Sree Dharmasashta and Kumbhabishekams, Golden Jubilee celebrations etc. He
was also the founder member of Sree Ramkrishna Bhajan Samaj, Goregaon, Mumbai from 1968
onwards.

He was the Ex-President, Vice President, Hon. Secretary, Joint Secretary actively connected
with construction of the Ram templ, Prathishta of Lord Vinayaka, Lord Sriram, Laxmana, Sita,
Anjaneya including two kumbhabhishekams, golden jubilee celebrations and the famous
Goregaon Sasthapreethi being conducted annually from 1975. Governing Council member, Vice
President, Secretary, Joint Secretary of Vivek Education Society, Goregaon continuously from
1966. Managing Vivek Vidyalaya and Junior College, Vivek College of Commerce with total
strength of 7500 students.

He was honoured with Vivek Ratna Award during golden jubilee in 2011-12. Honoured with
award of Sastha Sreshtakalapati, by G G Trust, Chennai connected with Gnananda Giri
Ashram. He has started his annual pilgrimage to the sacred Sabarimala from 1958 onwards.
And since then gone to Sannidaanam with hundreds of devotees in his group.

He was a fatherly figure to each and every one in and out of Vivek. His sudden demise has
definitely created a vacuum in Vivek. We all pray his soul to attain moksha and becomes part of
supreme soul/almighty.
