But the sad thing is, bees have
started to disappear, thousands of
them just vanish into thin air
every year. They find empty hives.
There’s no sign of their bodies or
anything.
MUM
Do they know why?
DAVE
One scientist thought there might
be some sort of signal that
disrupts their navigation system.
WOLFGANG scrapes his chair back.
MUM
What’s the matter?
WOLFGANG
I don’t feel very well.
MUM
But what about pudding? I made
Strudel.
WOLFGANG GORGEOUS
(getting up)
I’m not feeling hungry.
MUM
OK, I’ll put yours in the fridge
for later.
And he’s gone.
MUM (CONT'D)
Sorry, he’s still a bit sensitive.
DAVE tops up her wine glass.
MUM (CONT'D)
He spends all day hidden away in
his room and he hasn’t made any
friends yet. I try to encourage him
to go out but it’s like talking to
a brick wall. To be honest, I’m
starting to worry about him.
