EXT. SALISBURY PLAIN - DAY
The tiny figure of WOLFGANG pedals across the vast expanse of uninhabited grassland.
He stops and takes a PHOTO of the rusting carcass of a TANK. Suddenly he hears a TREMENDOUSLY LOUD MOTOR coming towards
him.
He throws himself into the long grass just before an APACHE ATTACK HELICOPTER streaks past, low overhead.
EXT. SALISBURY PLAIN. TRANSMITTER TOWER - DAY
A lattice-frame steel tower with an array of umbrella
antennas and dishes.
A SHRILL SIGNAL hurts WOLFGANG’s ears.
He takes a PHOTO and gets away as quickly as he can.
EXT. SALISBURY PLAIN. CROSSROAD - DAY
WOLFGANG pauses, unsure of which road to take.
A loud CROAK makes him jump. He SPINS around to see a RAVEN GORGEOUS
watching him from a post. It flies off. WOLFGANG sets off
in pursuit.
EXT. SALISBURY PLAIN. HILL - DAY
From the top of a hill, WOLFGANG looks down on a street of STRANGE BRICK BUILDINGS with red and green roofs, beyond an avenue of trees.
The HELICOPTER returns, banks around and flies off.
EXT. IMBER VILLAGE - DAY
WOLFGANG cycles past a sign for IMBER.
The sign of ‘The Bell Inn’, an ABANDONED PUB, squeaks in the breeze.
WOLFGANG stops at IMBER COURT, a once grand MANOR HOUSE with
a large courtyard. It has a corrugated roof. The windows and front door have been replaced with GREEN METAL SHUTTERS. It’s eerily quiet.
