It too bounces across on something unseen, stops and just
SITS IN MID-AIR.
WOLFGANG slowly he makes his way down the slope.
His feet touch something SOLID.
He feels for it with his hand.
As he touches it WAVES ripple from his hand, revealing a
SMOOTH CONVEX SURFACE.
There, directly in front of him, is a LARGE METALLIC DISC
about 50 feet across.
From its uncomfortable angle it looks like it’s crashed.
He steps back, to get a better view and takes a couple of
photos.
WOLFGANG, his mind working overtime, cannot process what he’s looking at.
Suddenly the peace is disturbed by the sound of approaching MOTORS.
MILITARY VEHICLES swarm into the village, LAND ROVERS,
PERSONNEL CARRIERS and an ARMOURED CAR. GORGEOUS
They screech to a stop. Doors SLAM. ARMED SOLDIERS jump out.
We HEAR barked orders and the steady ticking of a GEIGER
COUNTER.
The SOLDIERS scour every building, except for the Church.
On another barked order they leave as fast and efficiently as they arrived.
The sound of their ENGINES fades into the distance.
WOLFGANG cautiously emerges from behind a grave. Breathes a
sigh of relief.
Suddenly an eerie GUST OF WIND sweeps through the vegetation, sending a shiver up his spine.
Spooked, he runs back to his bike.
As he gets on his bike he looks back. There’s no sign of the SPACESHIP.
