Since our founding in 1887 by the School Sisters of St. Francis, Alverno
has taken a bold results-oriented approach to education by preparing
students for personal and professional growth. As one of the largest Catholic
women’s colleges in the nation, our students experience a collaborative
learning environment in which they grow as leaders. Located on a 46-acre
campus in a residential neighborhood in Milwaukee, Alverno offers a close-
knit community with big-city access.
